About me
Originally from Buffalo NY, I was raised by a full spectrum doula and educator. I began my work as a postpartum doula in 2019 after Certifying through Life Cycles and I am now based in Brooklyn NY. I am passionate about mindfulness, spirituality, and somatic healing.
Being born and raised in the doula community, I gained an acute understanding of the value of professional nonjudgmental support through powerful life changes.
My goal when supporting people is to nurture and empower them through the transitions, grief, and joy that come along with the postpartum time in order to embrace the present moment, no matter what it holds. My practice centers around the understanding that holding space for challenges while lovingly supporting each family will ease the transition for both parents and babies. My non-judgmental, open minded support has assisted new families, helping them to thrive and not just survive.
Along with my postpartum certifications, I have attended trainings for childbirth education, breastfeeding support, birth doula training, and certified as a Girl Talk instructor. I facilitate Life Cycle Doula trainings and offers a module on communication skills, holding space, self care, and the day to day expectations and considerations for postpartum doulas. I also host birth workshops and manage Buffalo Doula Collective, LLC, matching doulas with families and mentoring new doulas. I am on my way to becoming a certified lactation counselor come spring of 2025. In my free time I enjoy yoga, long walks in Prospect Park, and getting together with friends for craft nights.
I believe that when doulas and families are cared for, well informed, and given the support they need they can overcome all obstacles, and create a beautiful foundation for a healthy family connection.
